St Just

St Just is the most westerly town in England and provides a wonderful base for visitors wishing to explore the area. The town has a good selection of shops selling local produce as well as a supermarket, takeaways, galleries, pubs and restaurants.

St Ives is about 12 miles away and can reached either along the coast road or via Penzance. There is a regular bus service from St Just to St Ives via Penzance or in the summer months there is an open top bus, which visits to Sennen Cove, Geevor and Levant mine and St Ives.

For history buffs there are a considerable number of Ancient Sites to explore as well as tin mining areas. Walkers are spoilt for choice with a great many walks along the South West Coast Path or inland. Bird watching is very popular especially during the migration when rare birds are often blown off course. The hedgerows are spectacular in the late Spring/ early Summer and dolphins, seals and basking sharks can often be seen off the coast.
